The IMPULSE must only be installed by qualified per-
sonnel. The device must be protected against moisture,
impact, dirt and dust, must not be exposed to direct sun-
light and must be installed such that it is easily accessible.
The device can be installed in any position. In the event of
strong vibrations, heat or cold, a hose must be used to in-
stall the IMPULSE at a distance from the lubrication point.
The hose must not be more than four metres long.
1. The lubrication point must be cleaned and then the
grease nipple removed.
2. If necessary, a reducing nipple must be screwed in
and the threaded connector on the IMPULSE/reduc-
ing nipple must then be sealed using PTFE tape or a
suitable sealant.
3. Before the IMPULSE is installed, the lubrication point
and the grease line must be lubricated well using a
grease gun containing the correct lubricant.
4. Fill the IMPULSE with the help of a grease gun and
filling nipple 290.3015 until lubricant emerges at
the end of the thread.
Attention: The pressure must never be higher than 2
bar when filling.
5. Slightly grease the O-ring seal on the IMPULSE.
6. Screw the IMPULSE onto the lubrication point.
The simalube IMPULSE logo must face the front
and be visible since the LED function display is
located below the logo.

explains how to correctly start the simalube
lubricator.
7. The battery pack can now be inserted.
A new battery pack must be used.
The green LED will blink 2× and indicate the start
mode.
If the battery pack has already been used, the red
LED will blink 2× and a new battery pack must be
inserted.
8. The simalube lubricator is then screwed onto the
IMPULSE which fixes the battery pack in place and
thus activates the device.
The pump in the IMPULSE then moves to the starting
position.
