on one side only.
When the appliance reaches the required
1
temperature, the indicator light (E) will go out.
Place the slice on the lower hotplates,
buttered side down.
With a spoon, lightly push down on the each
slice to form a slight recess into which you
can add the sandwich filling.
Cover the filling with the top slice of bread,
buttered side up, then close the lid, until you
can close the lock (C)
3
- With waffle plates (H), lightly oil the
hotplates.
When the indicator light (E) goes out,
1
carefully pour the waffle batter, making sure
the lower plates are covered, but do not
overflow.
Bring the top part down. You will not be able
to click the lock into place, and the back
hinge will have a little extra give, to
provide extra space for the waffle-batter
to rise.
Practical Hints
With toast or toasted sandwiches, the
2
cooking time is around 4 to 6 minutes, and
4
varies according to moisture of bread or the
type of filling involved.
With waffles, the cooking time is around 4 to
3
8 minutes and varies depending on the batter
mixture.
In all cases it is recommended to adapt cooking
according to your own taste. Quantities and
cooking times given are indications only.
- When cooking is complete, remove the sand-
wich or waffle using a wooden spatula.
- Avoid the use of metallic or sharp utensils,
as they will damage the non-stick coating of
the hotplates.
