Active loudspeaker - L 2 A
Positioning advice
The L2A speaker is conceived as a standalone
speaker.
As front speakers you should preferably position
the L2As to the right and left of the TV set. The
further apart you position the two speakers the
better the stereo effect.
If you use L2A as stereo speakers for your hi-fi
system, position them opposite the seat from
which you prefer to enjoy your music. The speak-
ers should be placed at least 2m away from one
another but no more than 4m.
The distance from the walls of your room should
be approx. 30 to 80cm.
For Surround Sound systems the L2A speaker can
also be used as a back speaker. Position the
speaker at the same height as the listening posi-
tion or up to one metre beyond it. Thereby the lis-
tening position should only be indirectly exposed
to the sound from the speaker.
Commissioning advice
The L2A can be simultaneously linked to two
sound sources.
The active input is ideal for connecting to a Dig-
ital Surround Sound Decoder (without its own
power amplifier) or to the Pre Out of a Surround
Sound amplifier via a cinch cable.
You can connect your hi-fi system to the passive
input via a speaker cable.
Before connecting switch off all units and
pull out the mains plug.
LED display
The L2A speaker is fitted with an LED display on
the front panel.
If this display is red it is in standby mode (ready).
In active mode the display is green.
Sound reproduction from the hi-fi system is pos-
sible in standby mode, but it is also possible if the
speaker is completely switched off. In this case
the LED remains off.
By the way the speaker can remain switched on
at all times since the power consumption in
standby mode is extremely low (approx. 1W).
