Special safety instructions
Do not use damaged or worn drill bits and
always use the correct type of bit for the job.
Secure small items in a vice or similar. Never
hold the item in your hand!
Make sure that the drill does not damage any
objects under or behind the item, e.g. when
drilling into walls.
Check for concealed power cables, pipes etc
in the items or surface you are going to drill.

Always maintain a � rm grip on both handles
when using the machine. Always use the
insulated handle to hold the drill to avoid
risk of electric shock from concealed power
cables.
Place a piece of scrap wood under the item if
possible.
The drill must not be in contact with
anything when it is started.
Release the on/off button immediately if
the bit gets stuck in the item. Switch drilling
direction and remove the bit.
The drill must be totally stopped before
switching between drilling and hammer
drilling or changing direction.
Never put the drill down if the chuck is
still rotating (e.g. if the lock button is still
depressed). Wait until the drill has come to
a complete stop before putting the hammer
drill down, and unplug it if it is not to be used

again immediately.

Avoid touching the drill bit immediately after

use. It may be very hot.
Drilling certain materials can produce
harmful dust. Always wear a mask.
Make sure not to cover or block the vents on
the hammer drill.
