Connect the plug to a power outlet. A red control LED on the charger goes on steadily.
Slide the battery parallelly to the guide rails into the charger.
If you'd like to withdraw the battery from the charger, push the button on the battery
while pulling it out.
The control LED on the charger inform about the charging procedure:
Normal situations
Constant RED light
Blinking GREEN light
Constant GREEN light
Abnormal situations
Blinking RED light
Constant RED light, and no GREEN
In case of an abnormal situation, dispose of the battery.
You're allowed to leave the battery in the plugged-in charger. The battery will be trickle
charged and thus remain at 100% level.
You cannot overcharge the battery with the designated charger, and you can't charge it
too often either.
On the other hand, you must pull the battery out of the charger as soon as you unplug
that from the power supply.

All electronic devices, like the gardening tool (e.g. lawnmower) and the charger, have
secondary power circuits with internal resistances. This can lead to a small, but continu-
ous standby current of a few tenths of milliamps. This is similar to your TV set which is
set to standby.
A constant discharge of a few milliamps can, over a few months' time, drain the battery
below the minimum voltage which is defined in the charger's circuits to accept and de-
tect it.
Such a deep-discharged battery can for safety reasons no longer be charged with the
designated charger, but with laboratory equipment only.
