REMOVING THE CARAFE LID
1. Turn the lid counterclockwise until the arrow on the lid is lined up
with the unlocked symbol on the carafe. (A)
2. Lift off lid.
ATTACHING THE CARAFE LID
1. Line up the arrow on the lid with the unlocked symbol on the carafe. (A)
2. Turn the lid clockwise until the arrow on the lid is lined up with the
locked symbol. (B)
Note: Coffee may run over if lid is not correctly in place on carafe.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
❍ Keep the lid on the carafe when in use.
❍ This carafe is designed for use with BLACK+DECKER™ models CM2035 and CM2036.
It must never be used on a range top.
❍ Do not clean the carafe with abrasive cleansers, steel wool or other abrasive materials.
❍ Do not use the carafe if it is cracked or has a loose or weakened handle.
❍ Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
TREAT CARAFE WITH CARE
A damaged carafe may result in possible burns from hot liquids. To avoid breaking:
❍ Discard the carafe if there is damage to the handle. A chip or crack in the handle could result
in breakage.
❍ Never use abrasive scouring pads or cleansers; they will scratch and weaken the carafe.
❍ Do not place the carafe on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated oven or in a
microwave oven.
❍ Avoid rough handling and sharp blows.
