The forest safety helmet complies
with the requirements of the
standard Personal Protective
Equipment Directive, 89/686/EEC.
APPLICATIONS FOR USING THE
SAFETY HELMET WITH FACE SHIELD
AND EAR MUFFS
HELMET
The helmet is suitable for head
size of 52 – 64 cm. With the
6-point suspension harness the
helmet shall absorb the energy of
an impact by partial destruction or
damage by procuring the helmet
shell or the interior. Each helmet
that was exposed to strong impact
should be replaced, even if the
damage is not directly visible.
The temperature range for using
the forest safety helmet is about
-10°C up to +50°C.
FACE PROTECTOR
The face protector provides eye
and facial protection against high
speed particles, low energy impact
(45 m/s). The face protector has to
be worn during the whole duration
of exposure to any potential
hazard. The face protector does
not protect against liquid splash
(incl. molten metal), hot solid
objects, electrical hazards, as
well as against infrared and UV
radiation.
EAR PROTECTORS
The ear protectors have to be worn
during the whole duration in noisy
surroundings.
The ear protectors have to be
fitted to the forest safety helmet
and may only be used together
with the helmet. The whole
cushion surface of the ear muffs
has to press firmly but comfortably
against the head of the user.
Frequently inspect the ear muffs
to serviceability. The ear muffs,
especially the cushion surface
may become damaged with use.

to properly reattach the forest
safety helmet after cleaning.
The shelf life of the forest safety
helmet is affected by many factors
such as extreme cold and heat,
chemicals, extreme sunlight and
misuse. We recommend replacing
the forest safety helmet every 2
years.
For disinfecting the ear muffs,
preferably use rubbing alcohol and
wipe all parts of the ear protectors
with a moistened cloth.
Store the forest safety helmet in
dry and dust-free environment
away from sunlight.
