INSTRUCTIONS
This device is suitable for small weighing only. Any
other use may result in damage to the device or
injuries.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Follow basic safety precautions, including:
1.
Read this manual before first use thoroughly. It
contains important information for your safety
as well as for the use and maintenance of the
equipment. Keep these instructions for future
reference and pass it on with the device.
2. Pay particular attention to the warnings on the
device and in this instruction manual.
3. Use the device only for its intended purpose.
Improper use may lead to hazards.
4. In the event of improper use or wrong operation,
we do not accept any liability for resulting
damages.
5. Do not place heavy objects on top of the device.
6. Never immerse electrical parts of the device in
water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the
device under running water.
Power supply
1.
This product works with 2 x AAA type batteries
(not included).
2. Insert the batteries taking care to observe the
polarity indicated on the inside of the casing
3. The batteries (non-rechargeable) must not be
recharged.
4. If any leakage occurs on the batteries, and if there
is skin contact with the liquid (electrolyte), wash
immediately with soapy water or neutralize using a
weak acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If there is
eye contact rinse immediately in clean water for at
least 10 minutes, and then seek medical attention.
5. Do not short circuit the poles of the batteries.
6. Remove used batteries.
7. Remove the batteries before disposing of the
scale.
8. Remove the batteries if you do not use this
product for a long period of time.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Put the scales on an even, clean surface.
2. The maximum weight of the scales is 5000g, tare
included.
3. Do not expose the scales to humidity or extreme
temperatures to ensure an optimum shelf life.
4. These are electronic high precision scales. Ensure
that the scales are never overloaded and do not
fall over, because this can damage them.
5. If the surface of the scales is dirty, clean it with a
soft cloth. Do not use chemical products to clean
the scales and prevent water from getting inside

the scales.
6. This appliance is suitable for small weighing and
not for professional use.
7. If the result of the weighing is not displayed
correctly on the screen, check to see if the
batteries have been put in correctly. Replace the
batteries if they have been used for a long time
and try again. If needs be, contact the supplier or
local distributor.
8. Clean the device and other accessories after
each use. Refer to the Chapter CARE AND
MAINTENANCE.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
1.
Carefully take the device and its accessories out of
the packaging. Retain the packaging in case you
would like to store the device away or transport
it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the
packaging, then please do so according to the
applicable legal regulations.
2. Check the packaging contents for completeness
and damages. Should the contents in the
packaging not be complete or be damaged, do
not use the device. Return it to your retail outlet
immediately.
3. Clean the device and all accessories before
the first use. Refer to the chapter CARE AND
MAINTENANCE.
USING THE ELECTRONIC KITCHEN SCALE
1.
Place the scales on a firm, level surface. The scales
are operated via a sensor button.
2. Touch the [
] button to activate the scales. The
display shows initially "HI", and once stabilized,
will switch to "0 g" or "0.0 lb oz" depending on
setting. The scales are now ready for use.
NOTE: if a weight is shown in the display after
activation, touch the [TARE] button to reset the
scales to zero.
3. To change the unit of weight (g <-> lb:oz) activate
the scales by touching the [
] button. As soon as
"HI" appears on the display, touch the [
again. The unit of weight has now been changed.
Please make sure that the scales are set to the unit
of weight relevant to you.
4. Press [
] button about 3 seconds to switch off.
Tare weight function:
Touching the [TARE] button will set the scales to "0g".
Place e.g. a bowl on the scales, and touch the [TARE]
button to set the scales back to "0g". You can repeat
this procedure as often as you like until you reach
the scales max. Load capacity (5kg) is reached. Once
you remove your weighed item(s), the total weight is
shown as a minus value.
AUTO OFF
The scales will off automatically if on weight change is
registered for about 20 seconds.
ERROR MESSAGE
• If the "LO" message is displayed on the screen, the
batteries must be changed quickly
• If the "O_LD" message is displayed on the screen,
the maximum weight has been exceeded. Remove
the object from the scales immediately to avoid
damaging the scales load cell unit.

REPLACING THE BATTERY
1.
Remove the cover situated underneath the scales.
2. Remove the used batteries and replace them with
a new ones making sure to respect the correct
polarity (+/-).
3. Close the cover.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• CAUTION: Never use solvents and abrasives, hard
brushes, metallic or sharp objects for cleaning.
Solvents are harmful to health and attack the
plastic parts. Abrasive cleaners and tools scratch
the surface.
• WARNING: Do not immerse the device in water.

Wipe the main body with a piece of wet cloth. Do
not wash it in water to prevent damage.
2. Store the device in its original box in a cool and
dry place.
DISPOSAL
Proper disposal of this product.
This label indicates that, in the EU, electronic
devices cannot be disposed of with regular
household waste.
Please use the return or collections systems of
your municipality or contact the seller where you
purchased this product.

Fuente de alimentación
1.
Este producto funciona con 2 pilas del tipo AAA
(no incluida).
2. Inserte las pilas, asegurándose de que se respeta la
polaridad indicada en la caja de las pilas.
3. Las pilas (no recargables) no deben ser
recargadas.
4. En el caso de que se produjera una perdida en las
pilas, y el líquido (electrolito) tocara la piel, lávese
inmediatamente con agua y jabón o neutralice con
un ácido suave como el jugo de limón o el vinagre.
Si el líquido entrara en contacto con los ojos,
lávelos inmediatamente con agua limpia durante al

5. No provoque cortocircuitos en las terminales de las
pilas.
6. Retire las pilas usadas de la caja.
7. Retire las pilas antes de desechar el producto.
8. Retire las pilas si no va a utilizar este producto
durante mucho tiempo.
INSTRUCCIONES ESPECÍFICAS DE SEGURIDAD
1.
Coloque la báscula en una superficie plana y
limpia.
2. El peso máximo de la báscula es de 5000g, tara
incluida.
3. No exponga la báscula a la humedad o a
temperaturas extremas para asegurar una duración
óptima de la báscula.
