inside the battery compartments.
NOTE: Use 1.5 Volt non-rechargable AAA batteries only.

ON/OFF/VOLUME AND NOISE
SUPPRESSION
See Figure 3, page 9.
The headphones will amplify sounds up to a pre-determined
sound level, in which it stops amplifying and will deaden
(block out) the sound.
The earphone with the battery compartment will be referred
to as the LEFT side. The earphone with the volume control
will be referred to as the RIGHT side.
The knob on the lower left earcup turns the noise suppres-
sion feature ON or OFF and adjusts the volume.
 The knob will click when turned clockwise to turn the ear
protectors ON.
 The knob will click when turned counterclockwise as far
as it will go to turn the earphones OFF.
 Turn the knob in either direction to adjust volume.
NOTE: The auto-off feature will shut the headphones off
after four hours if they are not in use.
The microphones allow you to hear your voice as well as
background noise. They are controlled with the volume knob
on the right earphone.
Electronic noise suppression allows for normal human con-
versation while limiting the environment noise.
Quick response circuitry helps reduce impulse noise such
as gun shots and hammer blows.
OPERATION
ADJUSTING THE HEADBAND
See Figure 4, page 9.
 Place the headphones over your ears with the micro-
phones in front.
 Slide the earcups down and place them over your ears.
The cushions should fully enclose your ears and fit snugly
over your head.
 Earcup positons can be adjusted so that the headband
fits comfortably across the top of your head.
 To maximize noise suppression, make sure your hair is
brushed away from your ears and the cushions fit snugly
against your head. If wearing glasses, the temple pieces
should be as thin as possible and fit closely against your
head.
AUTO POWER-OFF
The headphones will automatically shut down if they are not
in use for four hours.
LISTENING TO AUXILIARY DEVICES
See Figure 5, page 9.
WARNING:
Do not use these headphones to listen to music or other
audio programs while operating machinery. Doing so may
cause distractions that could result in serious personal
injury.
The ear protectors can be used as an amplifier for MP3
players and other music devices. The auxiliary connection
is located next to the battery compartment.
When not using the auxiliary connection, keep the cover of
the auxiliary compartment closed.
 Plug the auxiliary cable into the music device. The sound
level of the music device should be turned down.
NOTE: The volume of the music is controlled by the music
device itself, not by the headphone volume knob.
 Turn the headphones and the music device ON.
 Adjust volume to desired level using the headphones.
NOTE: The sound level is limited to approximately 82dB
to help protect your hearing.
