Pre-Installation

PLANNING INSTALLATION

Locate the unit where ambient light sources will not interfere with the photocell and position in the general direction of
the desired motion sensor coverage.
□
Locate the sensor away from heat producing sources to prevent false triggering.
□
Placing the sensor in areas receiving less sunlight at dusk (east side of house, behind trees and bushes, under a
deck) will have the transformer come on earlier in the evening. Mounting the controller in brighter locations will have
the transformer come on when it has become darker outside.
□
The detection zone of the controller PIR sensor is approximately 100 degrees in horizontal direction x 80 degrees in
vertical direction x 20 ft. (6 m) distance.
