Fasten the mounting aid on the scanning head's mounting surface. Place the spacer foil beneath.

Insert the scale tape into the mounting aid.

Press the scale tape down and slide the mounting aid.

Press the scale tape down evenly, remove the mounting aid, and pull the
protective foil off the scale tape.
