Step 7 – Scanner Operation
Use of the SmartSource Micro Elite requires application software.
Please contact your IT department or solution provider for assistance
with the installation and use of any required check processing
software.
Step 8 – Clearing Document Stops
Methods to clear documents from the track:
•
Application command to clear track
•
Hold the Power Button down until the Power Button light flashes
rapidly, then release.
•
Pull documents out of the scanner in the directions shown.
CAUTION: Do not pull
documents out straight up.

Scanner Maintenance
•
As required, the scanner should be cleaned to remove
accumulated paper dust and debris deposited by the documents
•
A check scanner "cleaning card" can be run through the scanner
to perform a "rapid cleaning" process
As
needed, use the check scanner
cleaning card to clean/ clear the
track
•
A more detailed cleaning of the scanner may be necessary if
the cleaning card does not provide suitable results
