Weighted effective value of the acceleration
The indicated weighted effective value of acceleration has been measured against standard test procedures and can be used by way of comparison with another
device. The indicated weighted effective value of acceleration can also be used as a preliminary evaluation of the exposure.
Attention: The indicated weighted effective value of acceleration can differ during operation from the indicated value, dependent on the manner in which the device is
used. Dependent upon the actual conditions of use (periodic duty) it may be necessary to establish safety precautions for the protection of the operator.
2. Start-up
2.1. Electrical connection
WARNING
WARNING
Mains voltage present! Before connecting the electrical device, check whether
the voltage given on the rating plate corresponds to the mains voltage. Only
connect electrical devices of protection class I to a socket/extension lead with a
functioning protective contact. On building sites, in a wet environment or under
similar installation conditions, only operate the electrical device on the mains
with a 30 mA fault current protection device (RCD) which interrupts the power
supply as soon as the leakage current to earth exceeds 30 mA for 200 ms.
2.2. Start-up (Fig. 1 to Fig. 2)
Take the included accessories out of the tank (1) and box.
REMS Pull 2 L and
REMS Pull 2 L and
REMS Pull 2 L
Pull 2 M are equipped with an antistatic system. If static
charges are caused by friction, these can be transmitted to the top part of the
vacuum cleaner by an electrically conductive suction hose E with electrically
conductive handle E and discharged from there. This prevents sparks and shocks.
The electrically conductive suction hose is part of the delivery scope for the
REMS Pull 2 M and is available as an accessory for the REMS Pull 2 L. The
suction power can be set with the suction power switch (8).
2.3. Selecting, inserting and changing the fl at folded fi lter (Fig. 12)
CAUTION
CAUTION
The electrical device may never be used without the fl at folded fi lter.
Pull out the mains plug. Open the the fi lter cover (9) and check whether the
suitable fl at folder fi lter (10) is inserted. The polyester (PES) fl at folded fi lter is
suitable for wet and dry cleaning. The PES fl at folder fi lter from REMS is
approved for sucking up dusts of dust class L and M.
To change the fl at folder fi lter (10), open the fi lter cover (9) take out the fl at
folder fi lter (10) and dispose of it in a dust-proof polythene bag. Use a suitable
respirator, e.g. particle fi ltering half face mask FFP2, and disposable overalls.
Observe the national regulations. Clean the fi lter holder and insert a new suit-
able fl at folded fi lter (10) with sealing lip facing upwards. Close the fi lter cover
(9) until it snaps in audibly.
2.4. Select a felt fi lter bag, wet fi lter bag, polythene bag, insert or change.
2.4.1. Selecting a fi lter bag, polythene bag
Felt fi lter bags are approved for sucking up dusts of dust class L and M and
for low-dust disposal. Wet fi lter bags separate the water from the sucked up
solids when extracting dirty water. The polythene bag simplifi es disposal of dirt
and prevents dirt from accumulating in the tank (1). The polythene bag is not
approved for sucking up health-hazardous dusts. The following applications
are recommended for the different bags:
Felt fi lter bag:
for wet and dry applications, for normal dirt, fi ne dusts, abrasive dusts, wet dirt
Wet fi lter bag (REMS Pull 2 L):
for wet and dry extraction, for abrasive dusts, wet dirt, liquids
Polythene bag:
For wet and dry applications with dusts that are not harmful to health, for normal
dirt, fi ne dusts, abrasive dusts, wet dirt, water For low-dust disposal of conta-
minated parts, e.g. of the fl at folded fi lter.

2.4.2. Inserting and changing the fi lter bag (Fig. 4) 4) 4
Pull out the mains plug. Use a suitable respirator, e.g. particle fi ltering half face
mask FFP2, and disposable overalls. Open the vacuum cleaner top part lock
(3) and remove the vacuum cleaner top part (2) from the tank (1). Insert the
fi lter bag directly in the tank (1), push with the round opening up to the stop
on the suction hose connecting nozzle (12) inside the tank (1), place the top
part of the vacuum cleaner (2) on the tank (1), snap in the lock on the top part
of the vacuum cleaner (3). To change, remove the fi lter bag from the suction
hose connecting nozzle (12) and close the opening of the fi lter bag with the
slide and the wet fi lter bag with the plastic cap. Place the vacuum cleaner top
part (2) on the tank (1). Dispose of sealed fi lter bags. Observe the national
regulations.
2.4.3. Inserting or changing the polythene bag (Fig. 5)
Pull out the mains plug. Use a suitable respirator, e.g. particle fi ltering half face
mask FFP2, and disposable overalls. Open the vacuum cleaner top part lock
(3) and remove the vacuum cleaner top part (2) from the tank (1). Insert the
polythene bag directly into the tank (1), push with the small round opening
up to the stop on the suction hose connecting nozzle (12) inside the tank (1)
and fi t the large opening over the edge of the tank (1). Place the top part of
the vacuum cleaner (2) on the tank (1), snap in the lock on the top part of the
vacuum cleaner (3). To change, pull up the polythene bag lapped over the
edge of the tank and seal with the attached adhesive strips. Remove the fi lled
polythene bag from the suction hose connecting nozzle (12), seal with adhesive
tape, remove and dispose of. Observe the national regulations.
2.5. Connecting power tools to REMS Pull 2 L and REMS Pull 2 M
(Fig. 7, Fig. 8)
WARNING
WARNING
The socket for power tools with automatic electronic on/off (16) on the vacuum
cleaner is only intended for direct connection of power tools with a consumed
power between 100 and 2,200 W.
In REMS Pull 2 M, pull out the plug (11) for the suction hose connecting nozzle
(12). Insert the suction hose (13) into the suction hose connecting nozzle (12)
as far as it goes and snap the bayonet catch shut by turning it to the right (Fig.
6). The suction power switch (8) should be set to "max" to achieve optimum
suction performance. Set the suction hose diameter selector switch (14) to the
used suction hose diameter. To ensure that the cross section of the suction
hose is as large as possible, it is recommended to push the suction hose/power
tool adapter (15) over the power tool suction nozzle. Plug the suction hose/
power tool adapter (15) and suction hose (13) together and snap in (Fig. 9).
Push the suction hose/power tool adapter (15) onto the suction nozzle of the
power tool to be used. See the operating instructions of the power tool.
2.5.1. Connecting the power tool to the socket of the REMS Pull 2 L / REMS Pull 2 M
The power of the used power tool must be between 100 and 2,200 W. See the
operating instructions of the power tool. Only then can the connecting cable of
the used power tool be connected to the socket (16) of the REMS Pull 2 L /
REMS Pull 2 M.
2.5.2. Connecting the power tool to a separate socket
If the power of the used power tool is outside the limits of 100 and 2,200 W,
the power tool may not be connected to the socket (16) of the REMS Pull 2 L
/ REMS Pull 2 M but must be connected to a separate socket. See the operating
instructions of the power tool.
