Safety information EP 100 to EP 400:

Attention! Read assembly instructions before use.

Warning! Disconnect the power supply, remove the plug.

Warning! Wear gloves during use.

Warning! Danger from spraying oil, use safety glasses.

Take note, e.g. never point pressure hose at people or animals

Failure to comply with the safety instructions may result in the endangering of people as well
as the environment and the facility. Failure to comply with the safety instructions may lead to
loss of any claims for damages. The operator of the facility must ensure that the contents of
the manual, especially the safety instructions for the operators, are known. The operating
personnel provided with suitable instruction on a regular basis.
Instructions for EP 100 to EP 400
When the facility is inactive for prolonged periods (eg time off over the weekend), the electric gear
-
pump must be disconnected from the mains. Switch of pump at the on/off switch and pull out the
plug.
Do not allow the pump to run for longer than 5 min against the closed nozzle.

Be aware that the pump can heat up.

For the 12V - 24V design, first connect the +pole and then the -pole to the battery.

The gear pump starts to operate straight away.

The installation must not be operated in potentially explosive areas.
-
Viscous media of Hazard Classes A1 and A2 can not be supported.

Ensure that the 220V power socket is secured with at least 10 A.

Ensure that you have a secure grip on the pump.

Only use original accessories approved by MATO. In case of accidents caused by foreign parts
-
liability cannot be accepted.
The reliability of the system is only guaranteed when used as intended.

Trace return hose back to the safety valve of the tank.
-
Tampering or changes to the safety valve are prohibited.
-
In combination with drum and carriage, operate parking brake when parking.

Preparatory measures / handling
Protective gloves made of leather and goggles must be worn during use.
Observe safety data sheets for hazardous substances (oil, diesel) used. Instruct employees on a
regular basis.
Do not bend pressure hose sharply.
Facility in general is only to be operated under supervision in order to prevent containers
overflowing or the oil filler gun from slipping out.
