CAUTION: Always make sure the tool is turned off, the
battery packs are removed, and the front hand guard is
pushed forward before adjusting or verifying function on
the tool.
WARNING: For your safety, this tool is equipped
with a locking lever that prevents the tool from
being accidentally started. NEVER use the tool
if it works when you simply pull the switch trigger without
pressing the lock lever. Return the tool to our authorized
service center for proper repair BEFORE continuing use.
WARNING: NEVER stick or defeat the purpose and function
of the lock lever.
CAUTION: Before installing the battery cartridge in the tool,
always verify that the switch trigger operates correctly and
returns to the "OFF" position when released.
NOTICE: Do not squeeze the switch trigger forcefully wi-
thout pressing the lock lever. This can cause the breaker
to break.
To prevent the switch trigger from being accidentally pu-
lled, a locking lever is provided. To start the tool, press
the lock lever and squeeze the switch trigger. Release the
switch trigger to stop.
CHECKING THE CHAIN BRAKE
CAUTION: Hold the chainsaw with both hands when tur-
ning it on. Hold the rear handle with your right hand and the
front handle with your left. The bar and chain must not be in
contact with any object.
CAUTION: If the saw chain does not stop immediately
when this test is performed, the saw cannot be used under
any circumstances. Consult our authorized service centre.
1. Press the lock lever and then pull the switch trigger. The
saw chain starts immediately.
2. Push the front hand guard forward with the back of your
hand. Make sure the chainsaw stops immediately.
CHECKING THE TRAVEL BRAKE
CAUTION: If the saw chain does not stop within one second
in this test, stop using the chainsaw and consult our autho-
rized service centre.
Run the chainsaw and then release the switch trigger com-
pletely. The saw chain should stop in one second.
MOUNTING
CAUTION: Always make sure the tool is switched off and
the battery removed before doing any work on the tool.
CAUTION: Do not touch the saw chain with your bare
hands. Always wear gloves when handling the saw chain.
REMOVE OR INSTALL THE SAW CHAIN
CAUTION: The saw chain and guide bar are still hot right
after operation. Let them cool sufficiently before doing any
work on the tool.
To remove the chain from the saw, do the following:
1. Pull the lever up while pressing its edge.
2. Rotate the lever counterclockwise until the pinion cap
pops off.
3. Remove the sprocket cover, and then remove the saw
chain and guide bar from the chain saw body.

To install the saw chain, complete the following steps:
1. Make sure of the direction of the chain. The arrow mark
on the chain shows the direction of the chain.
2. Place one end of the saw chain on top of the guide bar
and the other end around the sprocket.
3. Rest the guide bar in place on the chainsaw.

4. Place the sprocket cover on the chainsaw and match the
two posts on the cover with the two corresponding holes
as shown below.
5. Turn the tension knob clockwise and check the chain
tension; keep turning clockwise until you have the proper
tension. To check the proper tension of the saw chain, pull
the chain with a force of about 1 kg, if there is a distance
of 5-7 mm between the saw chain and the guide bar as
shown below, the tension is adequate.
6. Rotate the lever clockwise until the sprocket cap is secu-
re, and then return it to the original position.
