Children must not play with the appliance,
and cleaning and maintenance must not be
performed by children unless they are supervised.
Keep children and pets away from the appliance
when it is turned on, as it will get very hot.
The appliance must be kept out of the reach of
children under 3 years of age unless they are kept
under constant supervision.
Children between the age of 3 and 8 may only
switch the appliance on and off if it has been
positioned or installed in the intended normal
operating position, and they are monitored or
instructed in safe use of the appliance and they
understand the associated risks.
Children between the age of 3 and 8 must not
plug the appliance into a power socket or control
the appliance.
Caution: Some of the parts of the appliance may
get very hot and so represent a risk of burning.
Be aware of this when children or in� rm people

Position the fan heater so that it stands on a
� rm surface and at a safe distance from wet
environments and � ammable objects.
Connect the fan heater to the mains.
Set the thermostat dial to the maximum
temperature.
Turn the fan heater on by setting the
function selector to heat setting • (1,000 W)
or heat setting •• (2,000 W). The indicator
comes on when the fan heater is running.

Once the room reaches the required
temperature, you should slowly turn the
thermostat button counter-clockwise until the
fan heater switches off with a little click. The fan
heater now starts and stops automatically and thus
keeps the room temperature constant.

Note: The fan speed is constant and independent
of the thermostat setting.
During the � rst few minutes of operation, the fan
heater may give off a slight smell.
This is normal and will soon pass.
Overheat protection
The fan heater has a built-in thermal safety device
which automatically switches the fan off if it
overheats. The fan can only be switched back on
once it has cooled.
Cleaning
Wipe the fan heater regularly with a well-wrung
cloth, and always keep it free of dirt.
Never use corrosive or abrasive detergents, as they
may aff ect the plastic parts on the fan heater.
