Do not charge a frozen battery.
16.
Protect the device against the elements, especially
rainfall. Use the device in well ventilated premises
only.
17.
Never leave the device connected to a power supply
when not in use.
18.
When charging batteries emit gasses which might be
explosive. Avoid contact with sparks and fire.
19.
Do not use the device in potentially explosive areas.
20.
Make sure the battery charger is disconnected from a
power source when connecting leads to a battery.
21.
Never place a battery right under or on top of the
battery charger. Place the battery charger as far away
from the battery as possible. The battery charger may
be a source of sparks or generate an electric arc.
22.
Never place the battery charger under the bonnet.
23.
ATTENTION: always make sure the car and battery
manufacturers permit the use of a battery charger
jump start function to start the engine!
CAUTION! Although the appliance has been
designed to be safe and has been provided
with adequate safeguards, and despite the use
of additional safety measures, there is still a
low, residual risk of accident or injury during its
operation. Caution and common sense are advised
when using the product.
3. RULES OF USE
The battery charger is a device designed to charge lead-acid
batteries and car batteries.

3.2. PREPARATIONS FOR OPERATION
BERORE THE FIRST USE
Upon receipt of the goods, check the packaging for integrity
and open it. If the packaging is damaged, please contact
your transport company and distributor within 3 days, and
document the damages as detailed as possible. Do not turn
the package upside down! When transporting the package,
please ensure that it is kept horizontal and stable.
DISPOSING OF PACKAGING
Please keep all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic tapes
and Styrofoam), so that in case of a problem, the device can
be sent back to the service centre in accurate condition!

3.3. OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

The device is equipped with short-circuit and overload
protection.
BATTERY CHARGING
1.
Connect the lead with the red clamp to the negative
(+) battery terminal.
2.
Connect the lead with the black clamp to the negative
(-) battery terminal.
3.
Use selector switch to set the required output voltage
(6/12V or 12/24 V). Use selector switch to select
required charge current: "MIN" – low charge current
or "MAX" – high charge current.
4.
Set the switch to the charging function position
marked in the picture:
5.
Connect the battery charger to a power source.
6.
The analogue ammeter will show the charge current
which will decrease with time and as the battery
charge increases.

7.
Once the battery is fully charged, switch off the battery
charger and only then disconnect the leads from the
battery in the following order: first disconnect the
clamp on the terminal with the same charge as the
vehicle body (in most cases this will be the negative
terminal, however there are vehicles with a positive
charge).
BOOT MODE
In addition to the battery charging function, the device
has a starting mode for a vehicle powered by an internal
combustion engine.
To activate the jump start function follow these steps:
1.
Connect leads according to the guidelines above
(points 1 and 2).
2.
An initial 10-15 minute charging of the battery is
recommended. This will make the jump start easier.
3.
Switch off all unnecessary function in the vehicle, such
as lights, windscreen wipers, displays, windscreen
heating, etc.
4.
Set the selector switch to the jump start function
marked with the following diagram:
5.
Jump starts should be performed subject to the
following cycle: 3s operation / 120s pause A maximum
of 5 jump start cycles may be performed. Exceeding
these values may cause fuses in the battery charger to
blow.
USE GUIDELINES
1.
Connect and disconnect leads with the battery
charger switched off!
2.
Always before beginning to charge a classic battery,
remove the cell covers and the verify the level of
electrolytes. The liquid in the cells should cover the
battery plates. If liquid levels are too low, follow
battery manufacturer instructions and guidelines.
Exercise caution, the electrolyte is highly corrosive and
may cause acute irritations in contact with skin.
3.
Keep clamps clean. Soiled clamps may prevent or
obstruct charging the battery. Always check the state
of the battery to ensure the clamp connection points
are clean.
4.
Prevent the clamps from touching one another when
the battery charger is on.
5.
Batteries in a serial or parallel connection may be
used with the device. Remember that under a serial
connection the output current is divided amongst the
charged batteries and the voltage remains contact (i.e.
the sum of the currents on battery clamps is equal to
the battery charger output current). Whereas under a
parallel connection the current remains constant and
the voltage is split amongst the charged batteries.
Take the above into account when setting the voltage
and current.
6.
Do not start the car engine when the battery is
charging. That is only permitted with the jump start
option selected.
Rev. 23.05.2022

7.
Further charging of the battery may cause the
battery liquid to emit gas, which is indicated by
a characteristics "boiling" sound. Cease charging
immediately to avoid damaging the battery.
8.
Place the battery charger on a stable surface.
9.
The battery charging time depends on how depleted
it is and its capacity. Follow manufacturer's guidelines
to verify the state of the battery.
10.
If fuses are damaged (for fuse location see 3.1) replace
them. Do to that, remove the faulty fuse and replace
with a new one, of the same type and parameters.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Shaking, crashing and turning upside down of the device
should be prevented when transporting it. Store it in a
properly ventilated location with dry air and without any
corrosive gas.

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Always unplug the device before cleaning it.
b)
Use cleaner without corrosive substances to clean
surface.
c)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
d)
Never spray the device with water jets.
REGULAR CONTROL OF THE DEVICE
Check regularly if the device is damaged. In case of damage,
please stop using it immediately and contact customer
service for solving the problem
What to do in case of a problem?
Please contact customer service and prepare the following
information:
Invoice number and serial number (the latter is to be
found on the technical plate on the device).
If necessary, take a picture of the damaged, broken or
defective part.
