1. Before defrosting the freezer, set the Thermostat knob to the Quick Freeze
position ("7") for about 6 hours to ensure that the food inside is at the lowest
temperature before removing them in order to keep them frozen for longer.
2. Remove all the food from the freezer, wrap them in several layers of newspaper
and store them in a cool place (e.g. a fridge or larder).
3. Turn the Thermostat knob to the lowest setting ("1") and unplug the freezer from
the power outlet.
4. Remove the freezer basket and leave the lid open. Small containers of warm water
may be placed inside the freezer to speed up the defrosting.
5. Place a suitable container under the drain dial on the front of the freezer to collect
water.
6. Open the rubber cap of the drain outlet inside the freezer (Fig. 1).
7. On the front of the freezer, pull out the drain dial 20-25 mm until the drain hole
can be seen (Fig. 2). Turn the drain dial to either side until the arrow points
downwards (Fig. 3) and water will start to drain.
8. Discard the water collected. Then clean and dry the freezer thoroughly
(→ CLEANING).
9. Close the rubber cap of the drain outlet inside the freezer.
10. Turn the drain dial until the arrow points upwards and push the drain dial back
into its original position to close it (Fig. 4).
11. Connect the freezer to the power outlet and turn the Thermostat knob to Quick
Freeze ("7") for about 3 hours.
12. Store the frozen food back into the freezer.
13. IMPORTANT: Lower the Thermostat knob to the required setting.

6.3 CHANGING THE LED LAMP
The freezer is equipped with an energy efficient LED lamp in the interior. If the LED
lamp is not working properly or is damaged, please contact an authorized Service
Center. The LED lamp must be replaced by an authorized service technician to avoid
electric hazard.

■ Light source in this product is replaceable only by qualified engineers.
■ The light source shall be removed at the end of the product's useful life, with
sorting and recycling done separately.
7/ WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
This product is guaranteed for a period of 12 to 24 months (as defined by local
legislation, with the period as per the till receipt) from the date of purchase, against
