BEFORE THE FIRST USE
•
Before the first use, we advise you to clean the plates with a damp cloth and to dry
them carefully.
•
Ensure there is nothing on the plate surface.
•
To use the appliance open at 180° press on the red button on the left side and
dispose the plates flat.
•
Insert the plug into the power socket. The green and red power lights will light on,
indicating that the appliance is heating.
•
The thermostat can be used to adjust the cooking temperature. Rotate the knob
towards Min or Max markings accordingly.
Caution : Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is not harmful and
will disappear after a short time. Therefore it is recommended to let your appliance work
empty for 10 minutes before the first use.
OPERATION
•
The red pilot light will light off when the right cooking temperature is reached. During
use, this pilot light will light on and off regularly. This indicates that the thermostat is
regulating the appliance's temperature.
•
The non-stick coating allows you not to make use of grease or oil for most of the time.
•
When the grill has reached the right temperature, put the foods on the grilling plate.
•
Let the foods grill until you reach the desired results.
•
When the food is ready, remove it with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use any
sharp or metallic objects, as this might damage the non-stick coating of the baking
plates.
Caution : The baking plates heat up and will be very hot – risks of burns. Always use the
handle to manipulate the lid and protect your hands with insulated gloves if necessary.
•
When the grilling is finished, unplug the appliance and leave it open so that the grill
plates can cool down.
CLEANING
•
The cleaning of the plates succeeds best when the grill plates are still slightly hot.
•
Clean the plates with a damp cloth, sponge or paper towel.
•
Do not use hard or sharp utensils.
•
If the grill plates are very dirty, use mild detergent.
•
Rinse with hot water and dry the plates carefully.
•
Remove the cooking oil drip tray from the back of the appliance and empty it
before washing it with mild detergent and hot water.
•
Clean the housing with a damp cloth and some mild detergent if necessary..
•
Make sure no water or other liquid penetrates into the appliance.
•
Never clean the appliance under running water.
•
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
