Inserting the bag
Remove the lid and take the hoop off of the receptacle.
1.
Place a bag in the bin.
2.
Fold it over the receptacle and pin it in place by reinstalling the hoop.
3.
Make sure the switch is set to I and place the lid back on the bin.
4.
Opening in auto mode
Moving your hand or an item over the infrared sensor
from about 30 cm (+/- 5 cm) away will cause the lid to
gently open automatically. It then closes again after a
few seconds.
Note: the lid remains open if your hand or an item
remain over the sensor.
When you wave a hand in front of the sensor, the green detection
light turns on and ashes quickly.
Manual opening
Press the open control to open the bin's lid. As long as
•
you do not press the close control, the lid will remain
open.
To close the lid, press the close control.
•
The bin returns to auto mode.
•
If you forget to press the close control, the hatch will automatically
close again after 15 minutes.

Detection light
2 quick flashes:
•
the lid is opening or closing.
5 slow flashes:
•
the lid is open.
1 flash/second:
•
the sensor has detected a presence.

Clean the outer surface of your bin with a soft damp cloth and wipe with a

troubleshooting
The indicator light does not come on.
Make sure that the batteries are installed correctly in their compartment. Refer
to the 'Voltage' section.
The indicator light flashes constantly.
The sensor has detected a presence. Move away any objects the device has
detected.
