Functions
•
Optical signal display (36) - allows you to search in noisy environments.
•
Headphone jack - allows you to connect stereo headphones (not included).
•
Splash proof search ring (23) - allows you to search in shallow water.
•
Detector adjustable in length (15/18) - allows you to adjust the detector to
your height.
•
Armrest (13) - the elbow brace allows you to work comfortably for long
periods of time.
Batteries
Make sure that the on/off/volume switch is in the OFF position. Remove the
battery cover (26) from the rear of the control unit. Insert 6 AA batteries and
close the battery compartment with the cover.
Important Battery Information
•
Use only fresh batteries of the above-mentioned type. Do not mix used
and new batteries or different types (standard, alkaline, rechargeable).
•
Always remove old or weak batteries as chemicals may emerge from them
that can damage the device and its electronic components.
•
If the detector will not be used for more than one week, please remove the
batteries.
•
Dispose of used batteries according to the disposal rules of your country,
state or municipality.
•
Use headphones to save the batteries and increase their durability as
headphones consume less power than the built-in speakers.
•
Change the batteries if the „LOW BATT" indicator is illuminated.
Headphones
•
Connect the headphones (not supplied) to the headphone jack.
•
Adjust the volume to OFF before you turn the headphones on. After
turning the unit on,
•
Adjust the volume to the minimum.
•
Never place the device on MAX when using headphones. This can cause
hearing impairment.
•
Do not use headphones when working on densely travelled roads.
