When using your DP-5000 printer with a Macintosh®
computer, the printer must be connected to the compu-
ter via a SCSI interface module. To install the SCSI in-
terface module follow these steps:
1. Before connecting the SCSI interface module
turn off the computer and printer, and disconnect
the printer power cord.
Note:
The SCSI interface module cannot be connected
or disconnected until the printer power cord has
been removed.
2. Remove the rectangular connector cover (1)
located to the right of the printer port on the back
of the printer. To remove the cover locate the
black tab on the bottom of the cover, pull it up,
and twist it until it breaks free.

3. Angle the SCSI interface module (1) so that the
tab on top of the module slips under the top edge
of the computer printer cable slot. The top edge
of the module should rest against the frame of the
printer.

4. Gently press the bottom of the module until it
clicks into place.
5. To disconnect the module, gently pull the plastic
handle (2) at the bottom of the module to release
the catch and lift the module away from the
printer.
