of the suit up and over the breathing apparatus cylinder. The
wearer should now carry out all necessary pre-checks.
4. Next the breathing apparatus cylinder should be switched on
in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the
face mask put on by the wearer. The dresser can assist the
wearer to adjust the head straps of the face mask until com-
fortable. If required a fireman's safety helmet can now also be
put on by the wearer.
5. The wearer should now cross his arms over his chest whilst
the dresser lifts the suit up and over the wearer's shoulders
and head and fastens the zip carefully following the proce-
dure outlined in stage 1. The wearer can now slide his/her
arms down the sleeves and into the gloves (see Figures 9 &
10).
6. Finally seal the outer zip flaps with their Velcro fastening
(Figure 11).
