The message REINIGEN (clean) regularly appears on the display (10) as a reminder that
the device needs to be cleaned or descaled. The symbol disappears again after two run
throughs.
Storage
Disconnect the device from the mains power when it is not going to be used for a prolonged
period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter) and let it dry
completely.
Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected from direct
sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
Nothing is shown on
the display (10).
The fuse in the fuse
box is triggered.
Water runs out of the
device.
The coffee runs very
slowly out of the coffee
outlet (5).

Possible cause
Is the mains plug inserted in the
plug socket correctly?
Is the plug socket defective?
No mains voltage is present.
Is the display defective?
Too many devices connected to
the same circuit.
No error can be identifi ed.
Is there too much water in the
water tank (7)?
Is the coffee outlet clogged?
Is the device scale-encrusted?
Fix
Insert the mains plug.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Contact our customer service
department.
Reduce the number of devices
in the circuit.
Contact our customer service
department.
Do not overfi ll the water tank!
Clean the coffee outlet.
Descale the device (see the
"Cleaning and Care" chapter –
"Descaling").
