ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read these safety instructions before use and
keep them in a safe place.
! - This symbol indicates the risk of injury or damage
to the device.
! Failure to follow the instructions in this manual may
result in injury.
! The double-disc grinder complies with the applicable
technical regulations and standards.
! Do not allow children to handle the grinder. Prevent
animals from accessing the equipment.
! Do not leave the grinder unattended if children are
nearby.
! Always disconnect the grinder. nets in the event of
any problem at work, before any cleaning, mainte-
nance or if you stop using the grinder!
! Do not eat, drink or smoke when working with the
grinder.
! When the grinder is switched on, make sure that
your fingers, clothing, hair or any other part of your
body do not get too close to the rotating grinding
wheels.
! Never work with the grinder if it is damaged in any
way.
! Never place the grinder near flammable substances.
! Do not work with the grinder in a humid environment
or outdoors during rain.
! If the machine starts to make an abnormal sound or
smell, stop work immediately. Only qualified person-
nel should service the product.
! Use of accessories not recommended by the manu-
facturer or not sold by the product may result in fire,
electric shock, or injury.
! Do not replace parts of the device, perform repairs
yourself, or otherwise interfere with the design of the
device. Repairs to the product may only be performed
by trained personnel or authorized service organiza-
tion.
! Any adjustment or modification of the grinder without
the authorization of our company may cause injury or
damage to the user.
! Always wear safety goggles when sanding.
! Never start the grinder without the cover on both
discs fitted.
! The workpiece heats up to a high temperature dur-
ing grinding, which creates a risk of burns.
! The distance between the spark arrestor and the
grinding wheel must not exceed 2 mm.
! The distance between the workpiece support and
the grinding wheel must not exceed 2 mm.
! Never work with damaged or cracked grinding
wheels. Replace a cracked grinding wheel immedi-
ately. A cracked grinding wheel can break during use,
break into pieces and cause very serious and life-
threatening injuries.
! Replace the grinding wheel if its diameter has de-
creased to approximately 100 mm due to wear.
- Use protective equipment against noise, dust and
vibration !!!

DESCRIPTION (A)
This electric double-disc grinder is designed for grind-
ing knives, chisels and other steel cutting tools for dry,
fine or wet grinding of sharp edges.

USE AND OPERATION

ASIST tools and machines are intended for domestic
or hobby use only.
The manufacturer and importer do not recommend
using this machinery in extreme conditions and under
high loads.
Any additional requirements must be the subject of
an agreement between the manufacturer and the
customer.
Before switching on the grinder, make sure that all
bolts and nuts are tight and that the grinding wheels
can rotate freely.
Always use the front of the grinding wheels for grind-
ing. Never overload the grinder until it stops.
The grinder is not intended for longer uninterrupted
operation. Be careful not to overheat. After 10 min-
utes of operation, allow it to cool to ambient tempera-
ture.
Grinding machine assembly
The grinder must be screwed to the workbench.
When mounting on a steel table, use a suitable pad to
prevent the transmission of vibrations.
Mark the position of the 4 mounting holes (8) on the
workbench.
Drill a hole at each marked location according to the
diameter and length of the screws used.
Tighten the grinder.
Grinding wheel replacement (B)
If you want to replace the grinding wheels, first dis-
connect the grinder from the mains.
Then remove the shield holder, loosen and remove
the 3 screws that hold the blade guard in place.
Remove the cover.
