6 Initial operation of the scales
Bluetooth - authorisation (pairing): Mobile tele-
phone/smartphone

The distance of the scales to the mobile tele-
phone/smartphone should not exceed 10m as
otherwise a data connection cannot be estab-
lished.
1. Hold the scales and mobile telephone/smart-
phone ready.
2. Open the battery compartment on the under-
side of the scales.
3. If required, remove the used batteries. Then
wait at least one minute.

After inserting the batteries there is just a limited
period of time to enter the BT-PIN.
4. Insert new batteries (4 x AA LR6). Check that
the polarity is correct (+/-).
5. Normally the scales will now search actively
for Bluetooth devices.
ð The display of the mobile telephone/smart-
phone will ask you to enter your BT PIN.
6. Enter the BT PIN (see above) via the keyboard
and confirm by pressing OK.
ð The telephone now adds the scales to the
devices list. The scales show 'PAIr' and
emit 3 short bleeps (ti-ti-tuet). If not, repeat
step 3.
