ENERAL SAFETY RULES
Our compliments for your excellent choice. Your new electromechanical
barrier has been produced according to a high quality and strict reliability,
that's why it will assure you long-lasting performance. This booklet will
offer you all the pieces of information you may need to install your barrier
and to safe guard your safety.
All our products have been made in conformity with the regulations
in force. We recommend using original part only, during the
installation and the upkeep. However, the caution is unquestionably
indispensable and nothing is better than preventing accidents.

Any installation or repair, or adjustment of the working machinery
by unqualified people is strictly prohibited unless all the necessary
precautions: electrical supply disconnected (included possible
batteries. All moving mechanism must be provided with suitable
protections.
DASPI is not responsible for any possible damages or injuries to people,
object or animals, caused by any use not provided for this booklet and/or
any unauthorized modification of the product. Keep scrupulously this
booklet enclosing it with technical brochure of installation in a suitable
place well-know by all the interested people. You have to operate the
elimination of the packing material (cardboard, plastic, polystyrene, etc.)
in conformity with the regulations in force, remembering that for a child a
plastic envelope could be extremely dangerous. You have to teach the
people employed in using the automation about the control and security
systems of the installation. Don't install this product in explosive places.

The gear motor MAU has been planned and built in order to
opening swing gates with leaves length max 3 mt. and with a
maximum weight of 250 kg. DASPI is not responsible for any
anomalous and different use of the gear motor MAU.
IMPORTANT: The gear motor MAU is not provided with
mechanical clutch and must be installed with its DASPI
control panel or with a control panel provided with
electronic clutch.
USE OF THE AUTOMATION
As the automation can be controlled from the distance through
a remote control, you must always check the full efficiency of
all the safety devices. We recommend inspecting periodically
(every 6 Month) by qualified people the adjustment of the
electronic clutch. If you need to calibrate the protection consult
the paragraph "Adjustment of the electronical clutch" in the
instruction booklet of the electronic central unit.

PRELIMINARY CHECKS

• Read carefully the instruction.
• Check that the product has not been damage during the
transport.
• Check that the gate structure is strong and that during its
movement there aren't friction points
• Check that the electrical installation is in accordance with
the characteristic required by the gear motor.

PKEEP
For any kind of upkeep, you have always to cut off the power supply.
For a correct upkeep of the installation where you have installed MAU
barrier follow carefully these instructions:
Clean periodically the photocells. Checking by qualified people the
electronic clutch (see the paragraph "installation of the electronic central
unit"). Lubrificate periodically the connection levers, the lever for the
emergency manoeuvre, the transmission chain (only the version DL-180)
and the hinges of the leaves.
In case of malfunction going and seeing qualified people.

EMOLITION
You have to operate the elimination of the materials in conformity with the
regulations in force. All material must be divided by type (copper,
aluminium, plastic, electrical central unit). However there are not material
considered dangerous for the handler.

ISMANTLING
In order to dismantle or to move away the automation, follow these
instructions:
Cut off the power supply and disconnect the electrical installation.
Dismantle the control console and all the other components of the
installation. If you have noticed that some components have been
damaged, you have to replace them.

THE GLOVES
• Check that there is a suitable ground safety system and that
the metallic parts of the installation is connected.
• Check that the manual manoeuvre always is easily practicable.
• Remember that the automation makes easy the use of the
gate but don't resolve the problems due to a defective
installation or to a faulty of upkeep.

LUBRIFICATION

The gear motor MAU is provided with permanent lubrification
INSTALLATION
To operate a good installation of the gear motor MAU follow these
instructions:
Make sure that the leaves of the gate are perfectly horizontal
Locate inside the property the correct point to install the gear
motors MAU remembering that: the pins "P1" witch comes out of
the boxes must be always aligned with the rotation axis of the
leaves (pivot) (fig. 1-2). Make sure that between the columns that
support the gate and the pivots of the leaves there are like
minimum 65 mm. (fig. 3). We suggest to fix on the ground, in
closing, a mechanical stop for the leaves. After deciding the right
position, you have to make a digging on the ground to contain the
metal boxes (fig. 3). Make sure that near the boxes holes "F1"
there are a discharges for the water, to avoid a backwater that
could reduce the motor life (fig.
