Boil Dry Protection
In the event that the kettle boils dry, it is protected by a boil dry fail-safe mechanism. It will switch the
kettle off automatically when sensing a boil dry situation and keep it switched off until the kettle is
ref illed with at least the minimum amount of water. Always allow the kettle to cool for half an hour
before reuse if the kettle has boiled dry.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Always disconnect the appliance from power and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord, or power base in water, or expose them to moisture.
2. Wipe the kettle with a damp cloth, never use abrasive cleaner.
3. To clean the filter, detach by pressing down the tab and then replace it after cleaning.
Removing Mineral Deposits
1. In case of a scale buildup, fill the kettle with 3 cups of vinegar, add water to fully cover the bottom of
the kettle. Leave the mixture in the kettle overnight.
2. Pour the mixed liquid away, fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum line, boil and get rid of the
water. Repeat several times until all the vinegar odor is flushed away.
Caution
1. Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle to prevent
scratches or damages.
2. When not in use or in storage, unplug from power and coil the cable under the bottom of base.
3. Please do not remove the power cable with wet hands as it may cause an electric shock.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to modify the plug in any way.
A. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce
the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord.
B. Extension cords are available and may be used if
care is exercised in their use.
C. If an extension cord is used
(1) the marked electrical rating of the extension
cord should be at least as great as electrical
rating of the appliance
(2) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the counter or table top where it
could be pulled on by children or tripped over
unintentionally.
(3) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the
cord set or extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord
