Accepting payments
You can accept popular tap and chip payment
methods with the WisePad™ 3. Before you start selling,
make sure your device is connected and the Shopify
POS app will guide you through checkout.
For chip card:
Insert card at
bottom of device
Maintaining battery life
• Charge your reader on a daily basis or keep it
plugged into power
• To keep your device powered, leave it connected
to a power source to reduce the risk of draining the
battery or disconnecting
• When connected to a power source, the device will
remain at full brightness
• When disconnected from a power source, the
screen will automatically dim to conserve battery
after 5 seconds of inactivity
Pro tip
Keeping your device plugged in for extended periods of time
won't harm the battery and is the best way to make sure you
are always ready to accept payments.
