3. SAFETY
The hairdryer is equipped with a an overload
protection system which switches off the
appliance if overheating occurs (e.g. if the air
inlet or outlet are blocked). If the hairdryer
switches off during use, turn the switch to "0"
and wait for 5 minutes approx. Remove the
cause of the obstruction and switch it on again.
4. USING THE HAIRDRYER
• After washing your hair, towel-dry and comb
it.
• Do not use any aerosols or flammable
chemical products on your hair.
• Plug in the appliance and turn the switch to
the desired temperature and air flow.
• Two accessories are provided with the
hairdryer – a concentrator nozzle for
directing the air flow or drying a specific
area, and the diffuser for providing volume.
These accessories are easily fitted onto the
front of the hairdryer.
I/0 Switch
This switch is for starting up and stopping the
appliance and for selecting the air flow and
temperature.
0 = Off
1 = Medium temperature, low air flow.
2 = High temperature, high air flow.

Selecting voltage: This model may be used
with a voltage supply of either 120V~ or 230V~.
Before using the appliance, check the voltage
selected is the same as that of your mains

supply. Otherwise, the appliance could be
irreparably damaged.

Cold air button: The cold air button (d) is for
reducing the air temperature during functioning,
to allow rapid cooling regardless of the switch
position. This button has two working positions:

In this position the button is blocked and
does not need to be pressed
Ion generator: Model SP-1604i is provided
with an ion generator. This function will
enhance the shine of your hair and protect it
from static electricity.
To activate this function, turn the ion generator
switch on. The indicator light will come on.
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or
allow moisture to enter it.
• Clean the air inlet grille regularly with a
brush, to remove any dust and hair which
may have become trapped in the grille.
• Clean the outside of the appliance with a
slightly damp cloth and dry it with a dry
cloth.
• Remove the accessories before cleaning
them.
