• The adjustable magazine bottom can be adjusted
by:
· lifting the bottom plate/insert to a suitable posi-
tion according to the nail length.
· lifting and twisting the bottom plate/insert to a
suitable position according to the nail length.
· removing or insert the magazine insert.
• Place the coil of nails in the magazine (I). Uncoil
enough nails to reach the feed pawl (C). Place the
first nail into the driver channel.
• Close the magazine (I) and the magazine lock (D).
Be sure that the lock is secured.
Depth of drive adjustment
• The coil nailer can be equipped with a depth of
drive adjustment (A). Test the depth of drive on
scrap piece before you start your work.
• Turn the knob (A) to adjust the depth of drive.
• Repeat above procedure until you find your de-
sired depth of drive setting.
Operating the coil nailer
• The coil nailer can equipped with one of the below
mentioned triggers (F):
Single sequential trigger
• To actuate the nailer, depress the safety bracket
against the workpiece, and pull the trigger.
• To actuate the nailer again, you will need to
release the safety bracket fully and release the
trigger before repeating the above procedure.
Bump fire
• Activate the trigger, bump the safety bracket
against the workpiece, and a shot will be fired.
• To actuate the nailer again, you will need to
release the safety bracket fully before repeating
the above procedure.
Switchable trigger
• The coil nailer can be fitted with a switchable
trigger. This allows you to switch between single
sequential fire and bump fire. Depending on the
tool model, this can be done either by:
· pushing the switch button back or forth.
· pushing the switch button outwards and
twisting it.
· pushing the black switch button stud inwards
and displaceing the switch shaft.
Clearing a jammed nail
• In the case of nail jam, disconnect the air supply
before you perform any actions. Point the coil
nailer away from yourself or anyone else.
• Press down the magazine lock (D) and swing the
magazine door open (C).
• Insert a mandrel into the nose (B) to drive the
jammed nail up and into the nose bore.
• Remove the jammed fastener with needle-nose
pliers or similar type of tool. Do not use your hand
to remove the fastener.
• If you failed to remove the jammed fastener by
above method contact your local TJEP dealer.
Maintenance instructions
General maintenance
• The employer and the operator are responsible for
assuring that the coil nailer is kept in safe working
order. Furthermore, only authorized TJEP service
personnel or TJEP distributors shall repair the coil
nailer and must use parts or accessories that are
supplied or recommended by Kyocera Unimerco
Fastening.
• Keep the coil nailer in clean condition at all times.
Wipe off grease or oil with dry clean cloth to pre-
vent accidental drop of the coil nailer.
