2. INTENDED USE OF THE D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST

2.1. Overview

The D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST is an innovative system for the safety of motorbike riders designed for use on the road. The D-AIR
STREET SMART CHEST can be worn by the rider and by the passenger of the motorbike.
●●● IMPORTANT:
never use the D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST for purposes other than those for which it was designed;
do not use the D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST for motocross, super-motard, trial, off-road or other sports.
the D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST does not offer any additional protection in the areas not covered by it.
the D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST does not offer any additional protection in the areas covered by the airbag during events that do not
cause triggering and inflation of the airbag. To ensure limited chest protection in these events, the D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST must
always be worn together with a composite chest protector.

2.2. Protection offered by the D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST protective device

In view of the particular protection offered by the D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST it must be considered Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) and therefore subject to the requirements established by Directive 89/686/EEC (and subsequent amendments), transposed in
Italy with Law Decree 475/92. The D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST mentioned in this Informative Note must be considered Level 2 PPE as
per Decree Law 475/92, or in other words, PPE for which the EC mark can be applied by DAINESE only after first subjecting the device to
an "EC Type Test" by a Notified Body.
The Notified Body that certified your D-AIR STREET SMART CHEST is:

CERTIFICATIONS/APPROVALS section of this Informative Note.
