MARK DOOR & BORE HOLES
A:
Fold template on edge of
door and mark hole for
2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backset.
B:
Drill 2-1/8" hole through
door (from both sides to
avoid damaging door).
C:
Drill a 1" hole in edge of door.
D:
Cut out a 2-1/4" x 1-1/8" x 1/8" for
2-3/4" backset or 2-1/4" x 1" x 1/8"
for the optional 2-3/8" backset.

Secure inside mounting
plate with screws provided.
When you are done installing the deadbolt, check the operation by locking it with the key. Make sure that
you can remove the key with the deadbolt staying locked. Then unlock the deadbolt and remove the key.
If you cannot remove the key, remove the cylinder and insure that the tailpiece is installed horizontally.
