Installation
Boosting City Water Pressure
Hazardous pressure. When using a garden
hose as a discharge line, do not run the pump with the
hose outlet or the nozzle closed. The hose or the nozzle
may burst from excessive pressure. See Figure 2. When
using the pump as a high-pressure washer, use only rein-
forced high pressure hose or pipe for the discharge line.
Figure 2 – Do Not Run Pump With Outlet Shut Off
When using a garden hose, install adapters on the pump
suction and the discharge. The suction hose will require
two female ends. Use a standard washing machine sup-
ply hose as a suction line (See Figure 1).
Lawn Sprinkling Application
Connect the suction hose to the faucet on the outside of
the house (see Figure 3) and to the pump suction. Use a

standard garden hose for discharge. The pump can sup-
ply up to 3-4 sprinklers (depending on GPM output of
the sprinklers).
Electrical
Hazardous voltage. Risk of dangerous or
fatal electric shock. Plug the pump into a 115 Volt, 60
Cycle, Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protect-
ed grounded outlet only. The pump is equipped with a
3-wire, grounded, cord and plug. Do not modify or
remove the plug. Make sure the pump circuit meets the
National Electrical Code (in USA) or the Canadian
Electrical Code (in Canada). To avoid dangerous electri-
cal shock hazard, keep the cord dry at all times.
Lubrication
The motor is lubricated at the factory for the life of
the bearings. The pump seal is water cooled and self
lubricating.
Pump Service
Hazardous voltage. Can shock, burn, or
cause death. Unplug the pump before servicing it. Do
not handle the pump or attempt to work on the pump
with wet hands or while standing on a wet or damp
floor.
The motor has an auto-reset thermal overload protector.
If the motor overheats, the overload will cut off the
power to prevent damage and will reset after the motor
cools. If the overload trips repeatedly, check the pump
for the cause (low voltage, a clogged impeller, etc.).
