SELECTING THE INTENSITY LEVEL
The intensity level designates the power of the pulsed light applied to your
skin during treatment. The power ranges from the lowest (1) to the highest (5)
level. The light indicator indicates the selected intensity level. If you increase
the power, the results will be better, but the risk of side effects increases (see
chapter Possible side effects).
Warning: If you do not experience any abnormal reactions or discomfort
within 48 hours of the test treatment, you can select the power level of the
epilator for the first treatment according to the table below:
• Skin phototype I and II - For the first treatment, set the appliance to
a maximum of the 3rd intensity level. If you do not experience any problems,
you can gradually increase the intensity to level 4 and then to level 5 over the
next few treatments.
• Skin phototype III and IV - For the first treatment, set the appliance to
a maximum of the 2nd intensity level. If you do not experience any problems,
you can gradually increase the intensity to level 3 and then to level 4 over the
next few treatments.
• Skin phototype V - For the first treatment, set the appliance to a maximum
of the 1st intensity level. If you do not experience any problems, you can
gradually increase the intensity to level 2 and then to level 3 over the next
few treatments.
• The IPL epilator is not suitable for people with skin phototype VI.
Warning: Before using the appliance, read the entire instruction manual and
select a safe power level (see the phototype table below) for each treatment.
To ensure safe use of the appliance, the above-mentioned intensity selection
guide must be used together with the table below.

X - The appliance is not suitable for people with skin phototype VI.
It is possible that the required intensity level will vary depending on the
difference in skin colour of one area of the skin to be treated. For example, the
skin on the hands, which is usually exposed to the sun more often, is darker
than the inside of the arm. Be careful when increasing the intensity on paler
parts of the body. Although you will achieve better results, the risk of side
effects increases.
TREATMENT SESSIONS
The length of the hair growth cycle takes on average from 18 to 24 months
during which many epilator treatments will be necessary to achieve long-
lasting results. The efficiency of the appliance will vary among individual users
depending on the treated area, hair colour and the method of application.
The following is an example of the planned treatment sessions during one hair
growth cycle:
• The first 4 epilator treatment sessions should be 2 weeks apart.
• The following treatment sessions should be 4 weeks apart until you achieve
the desired result.
