If you do not carry out regular care and maintenance, you will considerably reduce the life of your
product. We cannot accept any warranty for consequential damage resulting from lack of
maintenance and care.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Teak Material properties :
One of teak's natural properties is its high oil content, which makes it much more resistant than
many other woods. However, to ideally maintain its quality and also reduce the time and effort
required for maintenance, we recommend protecting the product from rain and exposure to the
elements. Dirt or weathering foliage could cause contamination, for example. Over winter, you
should store the product so that it is dry and protected; a suitable cover helps in this respect (make
sure you use covers that are breathable).
We generally recommend not placing wooden furniture directly on your lawn or open-pored
surfaces. Moisture from the soil and grass can lead to mould formation and similar issues.
As soon as you install the product outdoors, a natural process triggered by the sun's UV rays occurs:
natural oil rises to the surface and oxidises. This creates a silvery-grey patina.
The patina also protects the furniture from the elements.
Care:
Please wipe the teak furniture before first use, some wood dust might still reside on the surface.
Clean teak furniture twice a year with a brush and ox-gall soap dissolved in warm water in order
to prevent grime from setting. Please do not put hot, very cold or rust-prone objects directly onto
the furniture, as these leave stains that are very difficult to remove.
Stain and grime removal:
Such as from wine, grease, wax, oil etc. Recent stains that are haven't yet deeply penetrated into
the wood can be removed with cleaning solvent. Deep drawn-in stains can be removed by sanding.
Please only use sanding paper with a very fine grain (> 240).
Water and mold stains:
Use a brush dipped in a solution of ox-gall soap dissolved in warm water. The water stains
become smaller after each cleaning. Through the formation of the patina on the surface, the
stains will no longer be visible after some time.
DISPOSAL:
At the end of life of your item, please dispose valuable raw materials for a proper recycling. If you
are not sure how to handle it in a correct way please contact your local disposal or recycling centers
for advice
