7. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Periodically check the length of the nylon wire to always ensure a correct cutting
diameter.
Lengthening the cutting wire:
When cutting performance drops, while the appliance is operating, gently strike the
rotating head a few times on the ground.
In this way the wire lengthens and adjusts automatically by the wire cutting blade.
If cutting performance is still unsatisfactory, switch OFF the edge cutter and remove the
power plug. Fully press down the reel head and forcefully pull the two ends of the wire.
If you cannot see the ends, replace the head.
Replacing the head:
Switch off the tool and unplug from the electrical mains.
Press the two side push-buttons of the reel and withdraw the cover, pulling it upwards.
Remove the empty head from under the cover and withdraw the wire protection ring.
Fit the new head or replace the wire on the empty one and make sure that the cutting
wire is well inserted in the outlet holes.
Re-position the cover, checking if the spring is correctly positioned under the reel head
and if the two push-buttons snap into position.

8. GENERAL MAINTENANCE:

IMPORTANT: before starting maintenance and cleaning jobs, always unplug from the
power socket.
• Always keep the tool in good order and clean.
• Keep the blade clean, removing grass debris so that the blade is always efficient.
• Do not use water for cleaning.
• Make sure that that the airing louvers of the motor are always clear of dirt and debris,
cleaning them from time to time with an air jet.
• For replacement of damaged spare parts, contact an Authorised Service Centre or
your trusted sales outlet.
