6. Complete the coupling by using the
foot to rotate the quick release supports
to the closed position (fig. 8.C) and
insert the plug or split pin (fig. 8.D).
4.2.5 Assembling the canvas guard
1. Insert the two coupling hooks (fig. 11.A),
found at the ends of the support chassis
(fig. 11.B) inside the guide pins (fig. 11.C).
2. Position the support chassis (fig. 12.A)
under the device (fig. 12.B), and fasten
in place with the two screws (fig. 12.C).
4.2.6 Coupling to the accessory
lifting device
The cutting-means assembly is coupled
to the accessory lifting lever (fig. 13.A) of
the main machine by means of a spring
and chain and a snap-on hook.
The snap-on hook (fig. 13.B) is used for the
working position and can be moved between
the chain links to adjust the lifting force.
Fasten the spring hook in its designated seat
on the cutting-means assembly (fig. 13.C).
4.2.7 Connecting the power
cable connector
Connect the connector (fig. 14.B)
to the socket (fig. 14.A).
4.3 RELEASING THE CUTTING-
MEANS ASSEMBLY FROM
THE RIDE-ON MOWER
To release it correctly, follow the
steps below in the same order.
1. Disconnect the machine cable (fig. 14.B).
2. Disconnect the chain from the "accessory
lifting lever" (fig. 13.A) releasing
the snap-on hook (fig. 13.B).
3. Remove the canvas guard by
undoing the screws (fig. 12.C)
4. Disconnect the plug or split pin (fig. 8.D)
and rotate the quick release supports
to the open position (fig. 7.A).
5. Loosen and release the
transmission belt as follows:
• 4WD models
– Use the left hand to grasp the tensioner
lever (fig. 9.A) and pull it outwards.
– Use the right hand to remove the
belt from the pulley (fig. 9.C).
– Extract the belt from the
machine pulley (fig. 9.B).
• 2WD model
– Use the left hand to grasp the tensioner
lever (fig. 10.A) and pull it outwards.
– Use the right hand to remove the
belt from the pulley (fig. 10.C).
– Extract the belt from the
machine pulley (fig. 10.B).
6. Raise the quick release support coupling
brackets (fig. 7.B) and separate the
cutting-means assembly from the
ride-on mower with front deck.
5. CONTROLS
5.1 CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Always perform adjustments when
the cutting means are stationary.
5.1.1 Electric cutting height adjustment
The cutting height is adjusted in
infinitesimal mode, enabling the electric
cutting height adjuster switch found
on the front deck ride-on mower.
The cutting height indicator (fig. 1.H)
shows the adjusted height.
IMPORTANT To enable the electric adjustment
it is necessary to connect the cutting-means
assembly electric cable connector to the socket
(fig. 14.A) found on the front deck ride-on mower.
5.2 "QUICK FLIP" KNOBS
The "Quick Flip" knobs (fig. 1.E) are used to
release the rear section of the cutting-means
assembly from the support arms and lower it.
From this position it is possible to lift the
cutting-means assembly to the maintenance
and wash position (chap. 7.2).
5.3 "QUICK FLIP" RELEASE LEVERS
The "Quick Flip" release levers (fig. 1.F)
make it possible to quickly lower the cutting-
