Beacon Configuration.
From 2017 Spa meeting, there will be a change on
the ECU firmwares, that will update the following
aspects:
•
Keys of encryption and control to the
mapping and PC entertainment software
"Vision"
•
Change
on
procedure of the beacon signal, to make it
compatible with new MyLaps transponder.
Due to the above mentionned, it is necessary that the
teams move their emitters of the finish line,
depending on the width of the pulse of their beacon
receivers, if they want to keep the cutting of the laps
in the same position as previously.
The new system detects both signal ramps, up and
down, calculating the time between them, and
sending the beacon signal for acquisition, only in the
pulse is over 145 ms (corresponding to the loop with
ID30=150 ms of MyLaps). Attached the orientative
table with the distance to move the emitter of the
Beacon, to reach the lap cutting at the same point.
These
modifications
compatibility with the new transponder, but especially
to maintain compatibility with pre-2017 chassis
looms, which feature no CAN communication
between transponder and the steering wheel.

Configuración del Beacon
A partir del meeting de Spa 2017 se realizará un
cambio en los firmware de todas las centralitas, que
actualiza los siguientes aspectos:
•
Claves de encriptación y control de acceso a
la cartografía y sistema de explotación
"Vision"
•
Actualización de gestión de señal del beacon
para hacerla compatible con el transponder
de MyLaps.
Debido a esta última, es necesario que los equipos
muevan sus emisores en la línea de meta, en función
del tamaño del pulso de sus receptores de beacon, si
desearan mantener el corte de las vueltas en la
misma posición que las tenían anteriormente.
El nuevo sistema, detecta los flancos de la señal
tanto de subida como de bajada, calculando el
tiempo entre los mismos, y enviando la señal de
beacon para la adquisición, sólo si el pulso es
superior a 145 ms, correspondiente al bucle con
ID30=150 ms de MyLaps. Se adjunta tabla indicativa
con la distancia a mover el emisor del Beacon para
conseguir el corte de vuelta en el mismo punto.
Esta modificación es necesaria para garantizar la
compatibilidad
con
especialmente para mantener la compatibilidad con
los cableados de chasis pre-2017, en los que no hay
comunicación CAN entre el transponder y el volante.
