5. Use the Embedded Web server
(EWS)
When the printer is connected to a network,
you can use the "embedded Web server"
("EWS") to view status information and
configure network settings from your
computer web browser. No special software
needs to be installed or configured on your
computer.
To open the EWS
1.
Obtain the IP address for the printer.
The IP address is shown on the Network
Configuration Page.

Load paper in the tray.

Touch the right arrow
Setup, touch Network, and then
touch Print Network Settings.

Note: You can open and use the EWS
without being connected to the Internet,
though some features will not be
available.

the user guide (which is available on your
computer after you install the software).

In a supported Web browser on your
computer, type the IP address or
hostname that has been assigned to the
device.
For example, if the IP address is
, touch
123.123.123.123, type the following address
into the Web browser:
http://123.123.123.123
Tip: After opening the EWS, you can
bookmark it so that you can return to it
quickly.
