To replace the cover, follow these steps:
- Peel the sanding disc (12) and the sponge backing pad (13) away.
- Hold the sanding plate in one hand and with the other, using the L-hex wrench (supplied), first break free the
center bolt clockwise (1/8 turn only!).
- Then only use the L-hex wrench to hold the center bolt from turning and spin off the sanding plate
counterclockwise.
- Press the sanding cover (7) down against the spring and, using snap-ring pliers, remove the circlip (14) which
holds the sanding plate cover to the bracket.
- Carefully work the vacuum hose (15) free, and then lift the sanding cover away.
- Replacement is the opposite of removal.
CAUTION: Don't forget the spring.
6. Transportation
- Stop the machine.
- Pull out mains plug and remove the power cord from the machine.
- Leave the motor to cool down (approx. 30 minutes).
- When transporting the machine in or on a vehicle, ensure that it cannot move around unintentionally.
7. Storage
- Clean the machine.
- Check for loose and damaged parts. Repair or replace damaged parts and tighten loose screws, nuts and bolts.
- Keep the machine only in clean and dry rooms when the engine is cold.
- Store the machine in a room to prevent unauthorised use or damage. Keep it away from children.
Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material!
In observance of European Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life
must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
