aDDiTiONaL SaFETY iNSTrUCTiONS

The chain sharpener is designed for sharpening
saw chains.
The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed
purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a
case of misuse. The user / operator and not the
manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries
of any kind caused as a result of this.
Please note that our equipment has not been designed
for use in commercial, trade or industrial
applications. Our warranty will be voided if the
machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial
businesses or for equivalent purposes.
The machine must only be used for its intended
purpose! Even when the equipment is used as
prescribed it is still impossible to eliminate certain
residual risk factors. The following hazards may
arise in connection with the machine's construction
and layout:
• Contact with the grinding wheel where it is not
covered.
• Catapulting of parts from damaged grinding
wheels.
• Catapulting of workpieces and parts of workpieces
from the machine. • Damage to hearing if ear-muffs
are not used
as necessary.
Only connect the device to a socket with a residual
current circuit breaker (FI switch) rated for a maximum
residual current of 30 mA.
• Protect the power and extension cables from the grin-
ding wheel and chain saw. In the event of damage or
cuts, disconnect the plug from immediately plugs.
Do not touch the cable until it is disconnected from the
mains. Danger of electric shock.
• Visually inspect the grinding wheel before use. Do
not use cracked grinding wheels, cracked wheels or
other damage. Worn out replace the grinding wheel.
• Never use the device without a face shield.
• Do not operate the appliance if you are tired or after
consuming alcohol or medication. Remember enough
breaks at work in time.
• Do not use the device in an explosive atmosphere or
in places where flying sparks could cause a fire, ex-
plosion, etc. There is a risk of fire or explosion if not
observed.
• Protect your hands from the grinding wheel when
operating the machine and a chainsaw.
Do not move the chain by hand. There is a risk of in-
jury.
• Never put your fingers between the grinding wheel
and the disc or between the grinding wheel and the
protective cover. There is a risk of pinching.
• The chain heats up to a high temperature during
grinding. Do not touch the workpiece, there is a risk
of burns.
• Use only grinding wheels recommended by the ma-
nufacturer. Do not use saw blades.
• Switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains
plug in the following cases:
- When releasing a blocked tool,
- If the power cord is damaged or jammed,
- In case of unusual sounds.
- Use protective equipment against noise,
dust and vibrations !!!

USE aND OPEraTiON

The ASIST equipment and machines are designed for
domestic or hobby use only.
The manufacturer and the importer do not recommend
to use this equipment under extreme conditions and at
high loads. Any other additional requirements must be
agreed upon by the manufacturer and the buyer.
Before starting the equipment
Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply
make sure that the data on the rating plate
are identical to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making adjustments
to the equipment.
Assembly (Fig. 3-6)
• Place the chain clamping mechanism in the
chuck (Fig. 3) and screw from underneath
using the star screw (Fig. 4)
• Before starting the chain sharpener, fasten
it securely to a suitable surface (e.g. a workbench)
at a suitable place (protected against
dust, dry, well-lit) using M8 fixing screws and
washers (Fig. 5)
