Introduction

The BEHAbelt Hot-Press-Controllers "PPuls" are designed as all-purpose temperature- and
time-controlling systems for vulcanizing presses and similar applications. These Controllers
are easy to use and offer a wide range of useful functions like recipe database and data logging
to get the best result in welding belts. Their compact, rugged housing is build for heavy indus-
trial environments. In this user manual, the Hot-Press-Controllers are called "the unit". The
connected equipment like hot press or cooling pump is called "the equipment".

The BEHAbelt Hot-Press-Controllers "PPuls" are characterised by the following features:
Constructed in accordance with standard EN 61010-1, EN 61326-1
Use of an alpha-numerical LC-Display for displaying data
Easy data-input via a well-arranged keyboard
Simple and intuitive menu navigation
Locking of data-input
Connection of hot-presses with two separate controlled platens
Universal input-voltage range (100V~ – 250V~ (L to N))
Max. Output-Current of 2x 5A (PPuls Element)
Max. Output-Voltage of typ. 230V~ (PPuls Element)
Two temperature-sensor inputs, which usually are mounted in the heating platens
Recipes: 2 platen temperatures, end temperature, dwell time (PPuls Element)
Sensor-Type RTD PT100, TC K-Type and TC J-Type
Output for cooling facility (max. 230V/5A)
Create recipe database on PC and download via USB to PPuls Controller
