Dear Customer, thank you for choosing a Brevi product.
INTRODUCTION
The BREVI Baby Monitor has been designed to help you look after your baby and is not to be considered as
a tool for substituting the adults' superintendence. If you want to be sure your baby is alright, we advise you to
monitor him regularly.
The BREVI Baby Monitor is a portable monitoring system with the following features:
• battery power with 9 Volt alkaline battery for each unit (batteries are not included)
• electric power with network adapter (supplied both with the transmitter and the receiver)
• sound range up to 150 m. in the open
• position the transmitter at a distance of about 1.5-2 metres from the baby
A clip on the rear of the device allows to hang the unit on the bed (Transmitter) or on the belt (Receiver) giving
the parent the possibility to move freely.
INSTALLATION
Battery Power
For both units, Receiver and Transmitter:
1) Use exclusively 9 Volt alkaline batteries.
2) Unscrew the screw (1), take the lid off and insert the batteries.
3) Put the lid back on, screw in the screw and check that it is perfectly closed.
4) Switch the unit ON by means of the selector (2) and check that the Power Indicator (3) is lit and green.
Electric Power
The BREVI Baby Monitor can operate without batteries, by using the adapters supplied.
For both units, Receiver and Transmitter:
1) Insert the plug into the outlet (4) which is situated sideways, without force.
2) Connect the network adapter to an outlet.
3) If your outlet has a security switch, make sure that it is on.
4) Switch the unit on with the selector (2), check that the power indicator (3) is lit.
Note: if you want to operate the unit by electric current, never leave the batteries inside the unit because they
might oxidize.
Use exclusively the network adapters supplied.
The use of any other adapter may damage the unit.
Channel Selection
The BREVI Baby Monitor can operate on one or two (A and B) inside channels. The selection button (2) of the
channel is situated on the side of the two units. Always check that the units are tuned on the same channel,
otherwise the device will not work.
OPERATION
Positioning the Transmitter (Baby Unit)
The Transmitter must be positioned at a distance not over 2 metres form the baby, keeping the unit turned
facing the baby. If you want to use the Transmitter by connecting it to the transformer, you must position the
Transmitter cable far from the baby's reach.
Positioning the Receiver (Parent unit)
The Receiver may be positioned wherever you prefer. The most suitable distance between Transmitter and
Receiver depends on the structure of the building the Receiver is supposed to be used in. To verify the proper
operation of the unit, it is advisable to carry out a series of trials.
Operation and trial of the System
Before using the units, always observe the following procedures.
1) Switch the Transmitter on by moving the Channel (2) selector to the A or B channels: the LED (3) is on. The
batteries are charged if the LED is green. If the LED is red, the batteries are exhausted and must be replaced.
The detection intensity required may be selected by rotating the Sensitivity regulator (5) to the "+" or "-"
position.
