Should you encounter problems when using the non-contact infrared thermometer, please consult the information
below. If you are unable to solve your problem, please contact our customer service.
10.1 Message "HI" appears on the display
When using the non-contact infrared thermometer, the message "HI" may be displayed.
This happens when the room temperature exceeds the body temperature measurement range: 43˚C or 109˚F.
10.2 Message "LO" appears on the display
When using the non-contact infrared thermometer, the message " LO" may be displayed.
This happens when the room temperature is lower than the body temperature measurement range: 32 C or 90 F.
The message may be attributable to different reasons – please consult the list below.
Reasons for displaying message „LO"
Temperature reading hampered by hair,
perspiration.
Temperature hampered by an airflow.
Temperature readings too close together, the ther-
mometer did not have a chance to boot itself.
The measuring distance is too far.
The device is compliant with the following Directives and Standards:
- 2002/95/EC
- 2004/108/EC
- EN61000-6-3:2007
- EN61000-6-1:2007
REMARKS:
In the environment of electrostatic discharge the device may function
incorrectly and may require resetting.
Do not throw the product away with the rubbish. Ask the shop assistant
for details.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Advice
Make sure that there is no obstruction prior to taking
a temperature.
Make sure there is no airflow as this could interfere
with the infrared system.
Respect the pause of minimum 15 seconds between
two readings, a 1-minute pause is advised.
Please respect the measuring distance -
between 5 and 15 cm (2 – 6 inches)
