What You Need for Mounting
LAN connection, Cat5e or higher UTP cable with RJ-45
-
connector
PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC / 2 A power supply
-
Installation Procedure
Choose an installation site easily accessible to users.
-
Check the cable connection options: the device is equipped
-
with two cable bushings towards the wall in its bottom part.
Prepare the cables, LAN connection and power supply and
-
lock/accessory wiring if necessary.
Remove the metal device cover, open the lower blank module
-
as pointed by the arrows and introduce all the cables. Pull the
cables through the bushings. The manufacturer shall not be
held liable for defects incurred as a result of poor sealing.
Mount the device to the base.
-
Connect the cables and make sure that the device works
-
correctly.
Replace the blank and install the frame.
-
Caution
Removing the front blank in the intercom bottom part make
-
sure that no impurities get onto the sealing and connectors.
When the proper mounting instructions are not met, water
-
might get in and destroy the electronics. The intercom
circuits are constantly under voltage and water infiltration
causes an electro-chemical reaction. The manufacturer's
warranty shall be void for products damaged in this way!
Mechanical Installation
The device is designed for wall (surface) mounting only and the
device alone is all you need for installation. A backplate (Part No.
9156020) is intended for easier installation onto uneven surfaces
and mounting boxes. Follow the backplate instructions.
