8 Remove the waffles from the baking
plate with a flat wooden or plastic
spatula. Never use metal utensils; they
could damage the non-stick coating.
9 Closed the hinged top to retain the heat
ready for further use.
10 When you have finished, remove the
plug from the wall socket, and allow the
appliance to cool.
Maintenance
and cleaning
1 Remove the plug from the wall socket,
and allow the appliance to cool down
completely.
2 Carefully clean the interior of the
appliance with a damp cloth and a few
drops of washing-up liquid, and then
dry thoroughly.
3 Clean the exterior of the waffle maker
with the special microfibre cloth
supplied with the appliance. Do not
moisten the cloth.
• Never move the appliance whilst it is
switched on or is still hot. Switch off
the appliance, and wait until it has
cooled down before you move it.
• Make sure no moisture gets into the
appliance.
• Do not immerse the appliance in
water, or in other liquids. If this
happens do not use the appliance any
more; for safety reasons, dispose of
the appliance.
• Never use corrosive or scouring
cleaning agents.

• Keep the appliance out of the reach of
children, and of persons who may not

repair the appliance yourself.
• Don't use the appliance if it or the cord
is damaged. Don't take risks: send it
to our Service Department. With this
type of appliance a damaged cord can
only be replaced by our Service
Department using special tools.
Electricity and heat
• Verify that the mains voltage is the
same as that indicated on the type
plate on the appliance before use.
• Plug the appliance into an earthed
wall socket.
• Always remove the plug from the
socket when the appliance is not in
use.
• Always remove the plug from the wall
socket by pulling on the plug, not the
power cord.
