drill a 7/64" hole. Caution: Take care not to drill through
the body or any exposed surface. Mount the White wire
using the ground screw and eyelet provided.
6. Ford Five Hundred: Locate the grounding stud near
the vehicle harness connectors. Remove the nut and place the
ring terminal on the T-Connector's White wire onto the stud.
Replace the nut onto the ground stud, tightening securely.
7. Route the T-Connector harness ends with the green wires
to the right (passenger) side of the vehicle.
8. Repeat steps 3 & 4 for the passenger side, using the T-
Connector ends containing the green wire.
9. Confirm correct operation with a test light or by using a
properly equipped trailer.
10. Ford Freestyle: Route the 4-Flat trailer connectorunder
the trim panel into the rear storage compartment. Carefully
secure any loose wires behind the trim panels and route the
green wire under the threshold plate removed in step 1, being
careful not to cut or pinch the wire. Return all trim panels and
fasteners to their original positions
10. Ford Five Hundred: Route the 4-Flat trailer connector
under the threshold plate and into the trunk. Carefully secure
any loose wires behind the trunk liner being careful not to cut
or pinch any wires. Return all liners, trim and fasteners and
linings to their original positions.
