3.1. Use
Take the following steps once the blowtorch has been properly assembled:
- Open the gas cylinder´s outlet valve.
- Hold the blowtorch by the handle (4).
- Turn the gas regulating valve (6) to maximum.
- Light the blowtorch by making a spark at the nozzle outlet (7). Use a friction-based
spark (gas lighter) for this purpose, never a naked flame. This will light the pilot fla-
me which will remain alight during the entire operation.
- Once the torch is alight use the gas regulating valve (6) to regulate the pilot flame.
- Press the trigger (5) to obtain a flame of maximum intensity.
- Direct the flame over the surface you wish to scorch.
3.2. Components
The product consists of the following parts:
1. Gas cylinder connection fitting
2. Hose
3. Torch connection fitting
4. Handle
5. Trigger
6. Gas regulating valve
7. Nozzle
3.3. Precautions
- Always hold the blowtorch by the handle (4).
- Never touch the outlet nozzle (7) during or after use. There is a high risk of severe
burns.
- Prevent the hose (2) from rubbing against sharp edges or abrasive surfaces. Keep
the device away from intense heat sources.
- Check that the fittings are in good condition and free of leakage.
- Use protective goggles when using the blowtorch.
