OPERATION
4. For installation in a sump pit, the alarm can be kept as an
assembled unit (top and base together) and attached to the
sump pump discharge pipe. Or, the base (sensor) can be
separated and attached to the sump pump discharge pipe.
The 5 ft. sensor-alarm wire allows the alarm to be mounted
above the sump basin for easy accessibility.
NOTE: When attaching the alarm to a sump pump discharge
hose, use plastic zip ties or a pipe clamp to secure the alarm
to the pipe.
1. The red LED light will come on and the alarm will beep at
five second intervals at approximately 110 decibels when the
sensors come in contact with water. To silence the alarm,
remove it from contact with water and wipe off any excess
moisture. If this does not silence the alarm, blow air across
the sensor to remove any remaining moisture.
2. The alarm will beep at 30 second intervals to indicate a low
battery. Separate the top and bottom of the alarm to access
the battery compartment and replace the old battery with a
new, 9V battery.
MAINTENANCE
1. Test the alarm once a month, and if necessary, clean the
sensor contacts to ensure proper operation.
2. Under normal circumstances, the 9V battery should provide
one year of service. REPLACE YOUR BATTERIES ONCE
EVERY YEAR to ensure proper operation. Damp locations or
high temperature may reduce the battery life.
